Wow award - 2023

Members of Pompano Proud present the 2023 WOW Award to MIchael Noordeloos

The residential WOW Award for 2023 is presented to Michael Noordeloos of Pompano Beach, FL.

Michael’s creative landscaping is full of Florida friendly and native ground covers, shrubs, and trees. The waterfall empties into the pool and adds to a relaxing sound and feel of a botanical garden. Michael even replicated a natural beach dune by the pool area.

Members of Pompano Proud, Lee Gottlieb from Adopt-a-Dune, and the Youth Environmental Alliance of South Florida replenishes one of the dunes on Pompano Beach with 1000 Sea Oat plants.

The roots will grow 10 feet into the sand and serve as barriers and protect land structures behind them from storms and high waves.
They also serve as habitats for animals and vegetation that grow along the
beach.
